All four of my OEM rotors were warped within 30,000 miles from new. I did the HD upgrade on the fronts and fitted Reybestos rotors. They were warped within 6,000 miles. Loved the rotors, not so much for the pads. I decided to test the braking capability on the highway, did a hard stop from 70 mph to 40 off an exit ramp.

Very nice, thick rotors, roughly the same as OEM, if not better. Paired with Akebono ProAct pads. This is an amazing combo for a daily driver IMO. 1,003 Posts. #11 Dec 15, 2008. I will back up what LLM has said, any drilled or slotted rotors WILL eventually crack. I learned this the hard way smoking a set of powerslot rotors on another vehicle. As well, if they are not drilled properly aka through the vane slot they can catastrophically fail. I tried OEM, Wagoner, and China rotors while putting 300k miles on my daily commuter car. Tried several types of pads including EBC. Wheels are always torqued to spec. One panic stop and the rotors would warp. I installed a set of drilled and slotted eBay rotors and Brakebest ceramic pads and it stops better than it ever has with no rotor warping.

Has for the slotted and cross drilled rotors I purchase, they practically ate the front oem pads in 6 months change them at the same time so I purchase the ceramic brake pads with lifetime warranty in Autozone, and so far the braking is exelent, and people is true, the ceramic pads does not get your rims dirty with brake dust, my rear rims. They#x27;re usually louder. OEM brake rotors are usually smooth and flat, so when the pads contact the rotor, the contact is consistent. On drilled and/or slotted rotors, tiny breaks in contact where the pad momentarily breaks contact with the drilled or slotted out portion of the rotor leads to noise. They#x27;re dusty.
